Since graduating as a
Prosthetist and Orthotist, Stephen has worked mainly within the
field of Orthotics. He has worked in a variety of areas gaining
a wide range of general experience and has become more
specialised, in particular, in the field of lower limb orthotics.
He has extensive experience in working with both adults and
children in rehabilitation and sports environments. He has
worked with professional cricketers, footballers and elite
athletes both at a local level and from national teams. He has
specialist experience and skills in clinical measurement of the
lower limb having used plantar pressure measurement systems in
his practice for nearly 10 years.
He is currently a visiting
lecturer at Salford University and specialist Post Graduate
Lecturer in Therapeutic Footwear and Plantar Pressure
Measurement at Stafford University within their post- graduate
portfolio.
He has worked individually
and as part of a team on various research projects and has
presented regionally, nationally and internationally on the
results of this research.
